When a customer calls after finding us online or being referred by someone, they have a range of questions, and we aim to answer some of them in this blog.
How much will your removal service cost?
To determine how much it costs to move home we ask customers to call the office on 020 8640 6885 or complete our enquiry form.
One of our friendly and experienced staff will answer the phone or call back. Depending on your preference and how quickly you need to move, they will arrange a home visit or a Whatsapp or Facetime video consultation. The aim is to understand how many lorries and staff you need, your moving deadline, and how much you need to move. Once we know exactly what you need, we will provide a valid quote for 30 days.
Are you free to move us on a specific date?
We work around our customers and do everything possible to get them booked in our diary. One customer with a larger home recently had her moving date delayed three times, but we worked with her to ensure we were available when she needed us.
Do you provide a packing service?
We can offer either a part or full packing service for our customers. Some movers like to pack themselves, but many of our customers prefer us to pack for them. We have a careful and experienced team of packers, but we are more than happy to supply boxes and materials for you to pack yourself.
Do you make long-distance moves?
Many of our customers tend to move short distances and stay in the same area, but we also move people right across the UK.
If you are moving abroad, we can still help because our sister company moves customers across Europe and to the far-flung corners of the world.
Are you part of an approved body?
Yes, we are members of BAR (British Association of Removers). We have been with BAR for over ten years; we feel it gives our customers peace of mind knowing we are inspected regularly and regulated by a recognised, respected industry body.
Do Grants have insurance?
Yes, we have our own cover (required by law) and we offer insurance, including Goods in Transit insurance, storage insurance and Public Liability insurance.
Goods in Transit Insurance will cover your items from any damage or loss while they are in our removal van.
Taking insurance is optional, but we always recommend our customers take it for extra protection, especially if they have expensive and delicate valuables.
Do you do storage?
Yes, we have our own storage facilities, and they are available for our customers to come and inspect any time. Sometimes storage is only needed for a few days, while customers can be in store for years.
Do you provide a white-glove service?
Grants provide a white-glove service for customers with valuable art, antiques and sentimental pieces. Our white-glove service is there to reassure our customer’s full caution is taken when handling, packing and loading valuables. Our staff have been trained and have years of experience carrying out this service.
